On behalf of the men and women who serve as the Members of the Chehalis Fire Department, I welcome you to our website.  The Chehalis Fire Department has proudly and safely served the citizens and visitors of Chehalis since 1893.  Through cooperative working relationships we extend our service to neighboring fire departments and their communities.  Chehalis graciously receives similar services in return.

 

Our employees take great pride in preparing themselves to provide exceptional service for the many aspects of emergency and non-emergency tasks we are responsible for.  The 16 paid staff members, supplemented by a strong reserve firefighter program, responded to over 1400 calls for emergency service in 2007.  Our life safety fire inspections and public education programs seek to reduce these numbers and to minimize the adverse effects of these incidents.
